It would be nice to visually tell if someone is set to Limited or not. For example, connected friends use a green icon (as it is currently) but limited friends are set yellow or orange.

I want it!And I want to be able to set colors on groups as well, and change colors.
The "color tag" could be "split" if the tagged user has one color and the groups it's in has others.Posted 4 years ago # -
Yeah, at the moment you can't see a difference between a friend who has set you to limited and a friend who has nothing to share.

I like this idea as well!
In fact, I think color could be used to communicate all connection states easily. Right now, there's green if connected or gray if unconnected/unknown--for consistency, the
?icon could be replaced (or enhanced) with a different color. As merft suggested, a yellow or orange for a limited connected friend. And, if the IP Filter is supported, a red if connection disallowed.Natanael_L:

Couldn't that be a color associated with the text of the friend's name and/or background for that friend's slot in the list, instead of the actual connectivity icon?

Seconded. Was thinking about this earlier.
Also I would like to be able to hide offline and/or unknown friends.

it would be great to see if both online or offline friends are limited.

In 0.6, friends you have set as limited have a yellow icon. Of course, you can only know if *you* have marked a friend as limited. There's no difference between a remote friend having marked you as limited and that friend simply having an empty file list.
