   Hi all

   I just looked into OneSwarm. Perhaps I have got it all wrong. But from my point of view, right now, it seems completely unusable, as a "anonymous file sharing tool".

   I trust my REAL friends, in real life. But those in OneSwarm I look at more like "gateways" that I want to have plenty of to always be "online".

   So. I dont trust my OnewSwarm-friends. One of them might be a imposter.

   Actually. Even with REAL friends that I trust, I dont trust their computers, often hijacked for all kind of purposes. (Especially those using Windows)

   Therefor I check "Limited" on all my friends. Ok.

   But then. When I want to share content. I only get two options. "Share with frinds" and "Share publicly".

   I guess that "Share with friends" wont work since all my friends are "Limited".

   And I guess that "Share publicly" is out of the question, because it looks like regular open torrent sharing, that violates the whole purpose of a "anonymous file sharing tool".

   Am I right? Or Im I wrong?

   I agree about this seem to be useless...

   Its slow, if you want to be anonoumus you can´t let your "friends" see what you share and if you want them to then its not anonoumus.. ?

   Have only given this about 5 hours (my whole damn free time after work) and I dont see anything in this that I like.

   Btw, I got you as a friend rutger, who´s the possible imposter? PM me, maybe I have the same person added.. Anyways I most likely will abandon this crap, like... immediately!

   This is incorrect. Even if your friends are limited, you can still share files with them. The only difference is that they cannot browse the files you're sharing--they have to search for them, and cannot tell the difference between files you're sharing and files your other friends are sharing (through you).

   Share with friends is sharing with all in swarm.

   You can see shares of non checked limited friends. You cant see anyone else shares but you can still download from them, by using the search.

   Ok. Thanks for the replies.

   I will test to create a second account and see if im able to find my "friend shares".
