   When I started OneSwarm this morning I noticed all my friends were gone!
   I restarted and waited and restarted again. Nothing helped!! >:(

   How to get them back??

   someone used remote access to delete them? if you have that activated be sure to have a good password as anyone has access to login interface and there are big limitations to password length etc http://forum.oneswarm.org/topic/152

   otherwise i don't know...

   I do not have remote access enabled.
   It would be very good if an admin could see this thread and tell me what went wrong, how to fix it and promise that this will be fixed in the next release.

   If you have a recent enought backup of your computers hard disk drive you should probably be able to restore your friends from that backup. Your friends are stored in a file called osf2f.friends in one of the following directories (folders), depending on your particular operating system:

   Mac OS X --- $HOME/Library/Application Support/OneSwarm/osf2f
Linux --- $HOME/.oneswarm/osf2f
Windows XP --- C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\OneSwarm\osf2f
Windows Vista --- C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\OneSwarm\osf2f

   In these directories (folders) there might be some backup copies of previous versions of the osf2f.friends file called osf2f.friends.backupNNNN (where NNNN is a number consisting of four digits) or something like that. If that is the case, you might try to revert to the most recent of these backup files.

   If all else fails and you are unable to easily restore your friends, if you are unwilling to manually register them again and if you would like to bulk import them, take a look at

   mkosf2f_friends!

   Yesterday all my contacts was gone. Hours to find all people again and ther keys. I´m going to take a backup.

    This happened to me just yet ! Can't believe this old bug is still around ! No more osf2f at all... Reinstalled, no changes...

    any backups in the osf2f folder? it saves the last 10 versions. Also, is this with 0.7?

    So, the directory was well hidded and my original "osf2f.friends" was somehow overwritten with ZEROs. I managed to restore it with one of it's seemingly valid backup files but still no changes...
    Also, I lost my community servers and when I try to add "https://community.oneswarm.org/"
    I get : "An error occured (task disappeared)"

    Now when I click on the friend panel in the WebUI I see all (?) my previous friends but 1S just doesn't connect to them...

    Ok. It seems the problem has been solved after restarting 1S. It's weird though, I already did, and it didn't work... Maybe because I used the restart function in classic-UI instead of closing it and launching it again manually ?
    Anyhow, PROBLEM IS SOLVED :)
