Then I had OneSwarm running about few hours I can't find anything then I search for files.
After a reboot of OneSwarm I got more friends online and can search as normal.

same behavior here, i think its a known bug
i wish there was a restart application button in my remote access panel :)
I can confirm this search bug. My client stops downloading after a while (especially when I am in the process of adding new friends).
I also have problems when adding some friends (not all), sometimes we can't get connected to each other even though we have checked and double checked each others key value at both ends. Some times the problem is solved by restarting the client but for others it doesn't work.
- Anyone else having the same problem?
edit: never mind, everything stopped working the minute after i posted
When I get a temporary connection problem I can't search, I need to restart oneswarm after every temporary connection problem if I want to search after files
Perhaps something to do with remote access?
This morning OneSwarm still worked properly, running for about 10hours+ when i checked the box its running on.
When I later logged in from another computer using remote access in about 1-2 hours the same problems began(search dies, all traffic falls to 0, except remote access, handshakings seems to hang, many Friends are still visible online though)
While testing i mostly been using remote web acces.
Still up and running with no transfer/search dyings when i am not using remote web access.
Seems like my problem is there somewhere.
Nevermind, eventually transfers and search died now also, just not as frequent as when using remote web control. :(
We're looking into these reliability issues now. These sorts of reports are helpful, thanks!
I want to confirm this also. Figured out like the rest of the posters that I needed to restart to be able to search *and* to have the transfers active.
However I don't think it's related to remote access, since I at least am not remotely accessing the client and yet have this constant emergent need to restart.
My OneSwarm seems to die after about 10mins now I am using 0.6d on Ubuntu 86x64. Even if I choose to exit the program it wont die and I have to use (kill -9) command to kill it (kill) on its own wont kill it. It seems the program is still runing with up/down loads. Just the search feature wont work and it says transfer rate of 0b/s.
have sent the output.log and error.log to the OneSwarm email
I had the same issue, for me it got much better after I lowered my max up to aprox 10-15% of ISP up rate.
Seems 1S is doing a rather bad job at limiting outbound trafic, quite often I see prolonged bursts of outbound trafic (15-20 seconds) at two to three times the max rate set within 1S.
Just a guess, but something in 1S seems to get realy unhappy when the up rate goes so high that packetloss starts to grow.
at 10% up speed I usually only have to restart 1S once or twice a day.
Could also be related to your router, many cheap routers choke after a few hours of intense torrent traffic, since they get resource depleeted by all the connections being done.
Hi guys, we're working on these issues today (and probably all week). It's a bit complicated since it could be a combination of flakey routers and software bugs. Right now, we're pretty confident that it's software bugs in at least a few cases. For those that have sent their error and output.log files when this happens -- thanks! There's some extra output that might be helpful as well, but it requires a bit more work to obtain. You need to enable developer updates (in settings -> privacy) and then refresh the web UI. At that point, you'll have a 'debug' button in the toolbar at the top. Click this and then click 'f2f debug'. We'll probably seed another developer update later today with extra info there as well as well as some other (unrelated) bugfixes.
Update: If you're experiencing this issue and would like to help us debug, see this thread.

I noticed that OneSwarm would give a upload speed many time my physical connection. So have limited it to 30kB as my physical upload speed seems to max out at 300kB. Also after limiting OneSwarm to 30kB it still shows on the web interface that the upload is 100kB. I used to have ktorrent running unlimited upload speed for days and it never caused a problem.
No limiting my up speed to 10% did not help it crashed after about 10mins. :-(
try 5% ;)
I have stuck it on 5kB upload speed max and its still working. Although have got ktorrent running at 120kB.
Although now I have limited the upload speed to 5kB OneSwarm is using a whole core of my quad core and nearly 0.5GB of RAM. That's a hell of a lot of resources.
It finally crashed even with just a 5kB upload speed
Same experience for me:(
Can`t really use the "search function"! I tried the poorest Tags I know but it find nothing.
After 10-15 min One Swarm appears me I should restart the program.
Warning: One Swarm client apperars to have stopped. Please restart it.Or Fatal Error!!!It happends a several times to?
I dont even get a warning and it still lets me search my files just not OneSwarm. When I try to exit the program it wont die. I hasve to go to the command line and kill it that way.
The search trouble is now gone. But OneSwarm stops working after a while (no seeding). Then a quit OneSwarm the process is still running so i must shutdown OneSwarm.exe at the task remote.
I have the opposite to you nicke157 OneSwarm does now not crash and transfer's continue but the search feature dies after about 10 minutes
