Yeah, let every user have a little checkbox in settings, "Server Mode".
This allows everyone to connect (as limited user) to you and use you as a nod(tree).Posted 4 years ago # -

Regular bittorrent P2P seeding mode?
Posted 4 years ago # -
We'll be adding this at some point, but first we need to fix a bunch of bugs before OneSwarm is reliable enough for this 8).

"Regular bittorrent P2P seeding mode? "
You can do that already you can just choose share PUBLIC option when you are sharing a file. Then it is shared on OneSwarm as a normal p2p

In the meantime, awaiting for a headless mode, the virtual framebuffer X server Xvfb is your friend
Xvfb :1 && env DISPLAY=:1 OneSwarm
allows you to run OneSwarm sending the graphics output to a dummy Xserver.

maybe a bit off-topic but it would be nice if there was some more server futures.
a option to auto delete contacts if they have not been online in a certain amount of time. that would be a nice future if your building big swarms and only want people on your list with lots of uptime.

I was really trying to get OneSwarm to run without using x.
I am a total neewb at linux, so i had never heard of Xvfb before, but after som tweaking it works lika a charm.
