the ability to keep the directory hierarchy. Like when adding a photo album you want to keep sub folders intact under the main folder in order to be able to sort throught the photos.

If you share an entire directory, it will maintain the structure when transferring. Were you referring to something else?

Great program!
But I agree to the first poster, it should maintain directory hierarchy. I (and I guess many others) organize my collections like this:
/musicFolder/artist/album
In this dir, I have all tracks of an album.
If I share the entire musicFolder, the individual swarms are named "albumA", "albumB", artist information is lost. I think it would be wise (as a general rule, not only for audio) to include the name of parent dirs into the swarm name, like "artist/albumA" and "artist/albumB".Best regards

Directory hierarchy is essential. Gief plox :D

My shared audio files seem to be randomly displayed as individual files and as audio files within folders (named: artist_album), reflecting the structure in my shared folder.
Is there a setting to make all "stay" in their folders?Posted 4 years ago # -
I too see a great need for directory hierarchy in the auto watch section as I have a folder that my downloads move to once finished, and it would really ease the adding of files from there without having to unrar everything first for example but to instead share the folder's as a whole. possibly gzip all files then hash and share on demand (i know this would probably time out the transfers before starting on larger files but it's a thought)

Wish to see this in a near future as well!

+1 for this idea.
also the ability to have it so that it can share the dir as one torrent, and also have each of the files inside that have a torrent too (a share for the dir and shares for the files inside the dir). and if it's auto adding, it can also give you the option of what you want to do.

This is almost essential for sharing a large quantity. Should prioritize this!

Yes it would be great to browse my friends shared folders. Some content isn't searchable. For example when you look for new music and you have this friend with a good taste for music. Then you want to be able to browse his albums.

It would be nice if it was possible to organize the shared files the same way you do in DC. I don’t know if it´s possible but it would be both simple too share and download. Maybe a swarm for the main directory, one for each subdirectory and one for each file is automatically created but you don´t see them in the user interface. In the user interface you only see files and folders.

Support for virtual directories will be in the next version (prototype versions soon to be released as developer updates). We're planning to have a final version including this out by mid-April, if not earlier.
