   Hi

   This OneSwarm user is unable to stay connected to any of his friends more than a few minutes. Here is the log of my 1S client when trying to connect to him :

   07:41:01: Connection attempt initiated
   07:41:01: Trying cached location: xx.xx.xx.xx:49287
   07:41:01: Looking up friend location in CHT (secret loc)
   07:41:01: Looking up friend location in DHT(secret loc)
   07:41:06 e742f8: connected to: xx.xx.xx.xx:49287
   07:41:07 e742f8: received remote handshake, (Chat)(Extended file lists)(dht loc)
   07:41:07 e742f8: filelist requested
   07:41:23 e742f8: file list received
   07:41:23 e742f8: handshake completed
   07:41:57 e742f8: got exception: transport closed (returned -1)
   07:41:57 e742f8: disconnected

   The "got exception: transport closed" message systematically occurs when I send him a chat message.

   Afaik his NAT and firewall configurations are OK.
   He is connected to the UW and french CS.

   Is there something he could look for in the "Debug" tab that would help you find what is wrong ?

   Check the error.log file for more details on the exception. (Also, sanity check: is chat enabled? Is this user running 0.7? can they chat with anyone else, or does it seem to be broken generally?)

   It could be a problem with the chat database, causing an exception every time a write to it occurs. If so, you can try deleting the OneSwarm database directory in the settings directory. (This directory has files like seg0, db.lck, a log directory, etc.)

   I will ask him to send you his error.log file via PM.

   He is running 0.7. Chat is enabled on both side. But this strange behaviour is not only related to "chat". This user is completely unable to keep any friend connected to him. I can force the connection but it goes down as soon as I send him a chat message or initiate a download from him. I described the "chat" thing because it is an easy and systematic way to force the deconnection.
