Enabling gzip compression // disabling https

    Hi,

    I would like to have remote access with data gzipped. The page generated by GWT weights near 900ko, too much for my upload.
    Is it possible to enable GZIP compression for Jetty, or disable SSL and let my apache proxy do the job ?

    we are working on reducing the size of the initial download -- adding gzip is a good idea as well. I'll look into this
