I'm not sure, but I don't think 1S supports the magnet-links they use for instance over at TPB.
Will 1S eventually support these links?
If so, any time soon? ;)

OneSwarm supports magnet links -- if you're a longtime user of oneswarm, you might need to reinstall to get these to work (we had to update something around 0.6.5 that couldn't be auto-updated to get these to work)

I can confirm that TPB magnet links do NOT work in version 0.7 running under Linux.
Add URL / paste magnet link / click OK
Dialog box disappears and nothing else happens.

I haven't been able to make magnet links to work in 1S for Windows. It fails to load the link every single time. Big problem, since places like The Pirate Bay just turned to magnet links only.

For me works by add the Info Hash provided in TPB

I can't get magnet links to work in OneSwarm.
As I understand it the info hash is included in the magnet link.

Please add this as a priority. Now that thepiratebay.org doesn't support torrents anymore it's in this project's best interest to fully support magnet links. If in the meanwhile anyone can explain a procedure how to add magnet links manually from the piratebay.org that would be a great help (maybe an example or something).

This was never fixed. Until recently it was never a problem as most torrent sites still had DL torrent file option. Now that list is getting smaller. I tried Oneswarm's magnet download on the top 12 torrent trackers by traffic, which includes piratebay, demonoid, etc. and Oneswarm 0.7.5.0 does not work on any of them. Neither by clicking the magnet link or by manually inputting it into the open dialogue. Here is a screenshot as proof, every single attempt was the same. The download box popped up and remained at 0%, never downloading the files.

I just pushed a fix for this to github, next version will have magnet support working again.

We have a small list of items we want to get into the release, and a smaller list that we need to get in before we push it as a dev update.
The reason we don't want to push it out is that we are still doing some changes to the network level protocol for the new service sharing feature and once we release a version it is much harder to change those things.
If you are really eager to run the latest version you can always checkout the source from github. I think the process to do that is fairly simple by now.

Apologies for the lull in activity.
There is basically one goal that we want to have working solidly before cutting a release, which is to make sure we have a stable network protocol for reliably opening up a socket between two nodes.
I've been on holiday for the last couple weeks as the term wound down, but will be back full swing next week, along with a new collection of undergraduate interns. The goal is to get the release out early-mid summer, with a follow on by the end of the summer that has useful UI for sharing and accessing services.

The TPB magnet links do not work for me with the latest GitHub code too. (It might !)
That said, no more downloads are possible with the Git code for 18 Weeks / 3 Months now !
