I have some of my files on a remote computer that is mounted on my desktop.

If that remote computer is turned off, all of those shared files is instantly removed from OneSwarm, and when the the remote computer is started again, OneSwarm starts hashing all the files from the beginning again.

This might be a setting that I have missed of course.

this is exactly how it should work

oneswarm have had big problems of files showing in searches, but then no download have been possible (probably those old hashes showing in searches).

    So..
the "removal" is the correct way to solve this problem

But saving hashes in a separate database (non-searchable) could do the trick if there is a way of quickly re-check the networked drive that come online again. I would myself gladly use more networked drives if there was a good way to do solve the hashing problem (that takes more time than hashing a local drive).

OneSwarm never deletes files if the source is no longer available here. And I am happy that it does not hash everything again and again if I had forgotten to mount the image of files before.
