It should be possible.
I would hope that the Oneswarm client has a mechnism of advertizing its public key. If such a mechanism does not exist, create it. Is that not why you have a distributed database?
Using GTALK to import friends, although interesting -- only works if you want to have somting to do with Google.
Within one hour one should have about 100 friends, with 10 'upgraded' ones on web interface proper.
The web interface seems incapable of handling 30+ friends, another design flaw.
