Oh come one. I can't be the only person where this program creates torrents and hashes without any reason.

Fine... searching for yet another alternative.

I just wondered why my system was almost impossible to use.
Turns out that this time just creating torrents wasn't enough. No, it hashed everything again.

The best program I found so far and it still sucks. Just great.

I figured out where the duplicates came from.
OneSwarm just started, after several duplicate-free days, to create torrent for everything in my list, duplicates appeared, I deleted them and they were gone.

Why did it even start to create them?

"To 3rd: OneSwarm causes traffic to transport packages. This is quite normal."
I know that it causes traffic. But downstream when all it does is uploading something? On top of that more down than upstream?

*edit*
And it just created them again. Why is it suddenly so eager to create torrent files?

Emanresu:
For me when it comes to Shared Folders is that when I try the different intervals it seems that the only one that works is automatic. If i choose 1 min interval OneSwarm never updates so I dont know if there is a bug there.

And when it comes to adding more files to an monitored folder it seems that OneSwarm sometimes not add all files.

As an example: If in one of my folder I have Serie X season 1 with almost every episode say 12 of 13 OneSwarm make one swarm file of those 12 files but if I add episode 13 afterwards it seems that OneSwarm dont care about that file. So to get that 13th episode to be shared I need to delete the swarm with 12 episodes and then OneSwarm makes an new file with every episode. Dont know if its supposed to be so or if Im doing something wrong. My monitored folders have the setting to share everything not grouped media files only, dont know if it would be better to use grouped media files? I choosed "Share everything" because I have subtitle files to some movie files.

To 2nd: Maybe the "dupes" are not dupes of the original but a small torrent file that belongs to the original, needed by OneSwarm?
To 3rd: OneSwarm causes traffic to transport packages. This is quite normal.
To 4th: No.
To 5th: This is the right place for getting support to OneSwarm!

And more more thing that doesn't make sense. Even though it doesn't look like any problem will be solved here.

I put a directory with files in my shared directory. The UI will show that directory, the number of files and so on.
But some directories I put in there just don't appear in the list, instead every single file has it's own entry.

I use this program to send files to just one other person. So that's the only friend I have in this program.

Several problems.

1. I use automatic sharing of a directory. I have no idea what exactly refresh interval "Automatic" does so I set it to "1 minute". But if I place a new file in said directory it just does not add this file even after an hour. I need to restart the program in order to make it recognize the new file.

2. While I tried to figure out why I have this problem I noticed that my file list is suddenly full of dupes. Same source and same "time added" as the "originals". So obviously also just one file one the HDD. I don't get where those dupes coming from. I deleted everything and added all files again but dupes began popping up immediately.
It's just one file each with it's own directory.

3. When I upload it's always downloading something but I can't figure out what it is. The download is always slightly faster then the upload.

4. Can I somehow see how many % said friend already downloaded of a single file?
