Removing PCman and Midori also did not work. But I have at times been getting an error from the Java UI with an address. I pasted that in FF and it loaded with another error that it said to post in these forums, here it is:

*** Required thread seems to have died: OS Friend Connector
*** Required thread seems to have died: torrent pruning and F2F startstop

The localhost url did not work. Though it did take me to some eclipse application website. Which kinda makes sense when you think about it.

In posting about this UI issue in my distribution's forums I just finally thought of uninstalling the system defaults and seeing what that does.

You could try opening your browser and manually going to the page for oneswarm. I'm not sure if it uses the same port for everyone, but for me, it's on localhost:29615 it seems.

I know lots of debian-based systems set a default browser (and other utilities) with symlinks in the /etc/alternatives/ directory. There may be something similar for your distribution. OneSwarm doesn't (as far as I know) have a setting to select default browser and file manager; it uses what it sees as the system defaults.

Member

My OneS does not know what browser or file manager to use. How do I set those preferences with out any OneS UI? I have the OneS status icon in the system tray and I can use OneS just fine but I have no Interface to know what it is doing beyond the system tray icon. Or to make any changes for that matter. I am on a Unity Linux desktop on which I use a blended Openbox/ KDE interface. My file manager is Dolphin and my web browser is Firefox. These were not system defaults upon OS install.

My hardware is a 586 2.8gig Pentium
2 gig RAM
integrated Intel graphics.

Any help would be great.
